the Jenkintown/Wells Fargo Summer Music Series

The sound of music will be wafting through the trees of Jenkintown’s beautiful Town Square this summer, with free live music scheduled for every Tuesday night, at 7 p.m., beginning this Tuesday, May 28, 2013.
With something for everyone, from jazz to gospel to pop and rock, Jenkintown’s Town Square will be the place to be this summer.
Presented by the Jenkintown Recreation Board, and sponsored by Wells Fargo, the 14-date series kicks off with Chris Callas & Bob Lowery. Better known as 2/5ths of the Bob Lowery Band, a busy local pop/rock/alt-country outfit, the duo will be strapping on acoustic guitars and harmonizing on stripped-down versions of tunes by artists like Wilco, Train, and Fugazi.
The following Tuesday, June 4, 2013, Town Square hosts the Jenkintown 5K Sunset Run, which will also feature the R&B stylings of Too Short Otis.

6/25/2013 Musical Chairs — violin-cello duet Randy Tallini and Natalya Bondarchuk
